Tapteal Dual Language Program – Kindergarten Lottery Now Open!

Is your child entering kindergarten in the 2026–2027 school year? Consider the Dual Language Program at Tapteal Elementary, where students learn in both English and Spanish every day!

In this program, students spend half of their learning time in English and half in Spanish, helping them develop strong bilingual skills while achieving high academic outcomes. The program is open to:

• Students from Spanish-speaking households
• Students from non-Spanish-speaking households who are committed to learning Spanish as a second language

Important Dates:

• Lottery sign-up: March 11 – August 8, 2026
• Information Night: May 20 at 6:00 PM at Tapteal Elementary (705 N 62nd Ave., West Richland). Information will be presented in English and Spanish.

How to Apply:

1. Enroll your child in kindergarten at your home school.

2. Submit a Dual Language Program lottery application online.

Classes are filled through a lottery system. Students living in the Tapteal attendance boundary receive priority.
