Here is a special message from our 5th grade team:
WHAT: Tapteal staff will be saying goodbye to our current 5th graders in a “Farewell Parade”
WHEN: Thursday, June 11th from 5:00-6:00 pm
WHERE: The front of Tapteal Elementary (Parent Pick-up Loop)
HOW: Have your child wear a Tapteal t-shirt if they have one and drive him or her to Tapteal anytime between 5:00-6:00 pm. Join the line of cars in front of the school and wave to the Tapteal staff that will be there to say goodbye. Follow the line of cars until you reach the front of the school where your child can say goodbye to their teacher. 5th grade teachers will be waiting at the front and will have a little send off gift for each 5th grade student!
Due to social distancing rules, parents and kids will need to stay in their cars during the parade. We will do our best to show our love with our big smiles, waves, and air hugs!
If your family cannot attend the parade, 5th grade teachers will be at our Tapteal lunch pick up the next day (Friday, June 12th) from 10:45-12:15 over on the side of the building where lunch pick up is. 5th grade students can drive through with their parents on that Friday to say goodbye to their teachers and get their gifts.
If you have any questions about this event, please reach out to your child’s teacher. We look forward to seeing you and your “almost middle schooler” again at this fun filled evening parade! GO HAWKS!!
